Worshipful Brother Walter E. Jones

​Worshipful Brother Walter E. Jones, Banker, Engineer, District Manager of Economy Fuse & Manufacturing in Seattle, Washington and the 60th Worshipful Master of Washington Lodge #17. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 5, 1878 he worked for First National Bank in Hamilton as a bookkeeper, The Williams Directory has him listed as his occupation before moving to Seattle, Washington in 1905 He served as the first Master of the 20th Century in 1900. He past away in Seattle, Washington on March 26, 1926 at the age of 48 He is buried in Evergreen-Washelli Memorial Park in King, County Washington.

Situated at 724 High St on the main Hamilton Ohio corridor, The Hamilton Masonic Temple is home to the oldest Masonic lodge in Butler County. Founded in 1811 and fully chartered in 1812, the history of Washington Lodge traces its heritage to the very founding of Hamilton and Butler County.
