Worshipful brother thomas reed

Thomas Reed-The first male white child born in Butler County, Farmer, First Butler County Fair Board President and the 33rd Worshipful Master of Washington Lodge #17. WB Reed was born in Monroe, Ohio in 1797 and was a life long farmer and was instrumental in the organization of the butler county fair,  something we all still enjoy today. I seen his name listed in the proceedings of the grand lodge of Ohio in 1858 along with WB Benjamin Raliegh representatives of our lodge for that year. It gives you a warm feeling to think that brothers were traveling together to lodge functions back then as we do today! WB Reed died in 1874 and is buried in Monroe North Cemetery
