Worshipful Brother Thomas Kelsey, Soldier & The 6th Worshipful Master of Washington Lodge #17 He was born in Long Island, New York on March 12th 1754 and move to Hamilton after the Revolutionary War and became a merchant in Hamilton for a short time. He later moved to Rising Sun, Indiana after presiding as Worshipful Master in Washington Lodge in Hamilton, he again was the Installing Worshipful Master of a new lodge Harmony Lodge #41 Brookville, Indiana chartered under The grand lodge of Ohio in 1817. He also Acted as The Grand Master to deliver the dispensation empowering them to work from the hands of The Grand Master Henry Brush in Chillicothe, Ohio. Which indicates that he was more than likely a DDGM. I have no information as what WB Kelsey did for a living. He apparently spent only a short time In Hamilton and spent the remainder in Dearborn County, Indiana.
He’s buried in Coles Chapel Cemetery in Dearborn County Indiana
