Worshipful brother john k. aydelotte

Worshipful Brother John K. Aydelotte, School Teacher, Principal & Newspaper Owner & Editor of The Hamilton Democrat and the 49th Worshipful Master of Washington Lodge #17. He was born in Sharonville, Ohio in 1854 He taught school at West Chester and later became principal in Hamilton, Ohio He and several partners started the “Hamilton Evening Democrat” newspaper. Sadly on January 22nd 1891 he left work early to get dressed for a The Masonic Inspection of Oxford Lodge that evening, before going to the meeting he stop to check on a part he had ordered for one of his printing presses and his coat became caught entangled with the wheel of the printing press and eventually pulled him in to the press crushing him. He died on the scene. He was only 36 years old. WB Aydelotte is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
