Worshipful Brother Issac Robertson

​Worshipful Brother Isaac Robertson , Farmer, Attorney, Former Prosecuting Attorney for Butler County. Served under Brigadier General John Hunt Morgan of The Confederate Army. And the 41st Worshipful Master of Washington Lodge #17.
He was born in Germantown, Ohio in 1818 on his families farm. He attended Miami University, however didn’t graduate. He finished his study of law with the law firm of Lowe & Lowe Law Firm in Dayton, Ohio and passed the bar in 1847. He taught school for the first three years and them moved his law practice to Middletown, Ohio for 3 years. Later came to Hamilton, Ohio In 1851 he was elected Prosecuting Attorney of Butler County. In 1863 vowed to show his patriotism during the war between the states he joined Morgans Army as a militia for The Confederate States of America. After the war he became president of Greenwood Cemetery and served that position until he died suddenly May 2nd, 1902. He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.

Situated at 724 High St on the main Hamilton Ohio corridor, The Hamilton Masonic Temple is home to the oldest Masonic lodge in Butler County. Founded in 1811 and fully chartered in 1812, the history of Washington Lodge traces its heritage to the very founding of Hamilton and Butler County.
