Worshipful brother dr. walter w. browne

​Worshipful Brother Walter W. Browne MD Physician and the 61st Worshipful Master of Washington Lodge #17. He was born in Virginia in 1872 he came to Cincinnati, Ohio in the 1890’s met his wife Mable Roll Browne and move to Hamilton, Ohio He practice medicine for many years. Williams Directory has his office and residence as 127 Main Street. He served as Master in 1901. He passed away in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 23, 1945. He and his wife are buried in Greenwood Cemetery.

Situated on the main Hamilton Ohio corridor, The Hamilton Masonic Temple is home to the oldest Masonic lodge in Butler County.  Founded in 1811 and fully chartered in 1812, the history of Washington Lodge traces its heritage to the very founding of Hamilton and Butler County.
